Ownership

Ariba Jahan holds copyright in the original content created for this Brand Book: the writing, documentation, code, visual arrangements, and brand assets. Third-party trademarks and licensed materials are not covered and remain with their owners.

You're welcome to read the system, learn from it, and take ideas from how it's put together. Please don't copy the brand assets or present the work as your own.

Process

I spent weeks documenting my career, my thinking, and the point of view behind this site before I started building it. I also created the Brand Book: the palette, type, components, and the way the site would feel.

I began in Claude Design, working through the information architecture and the experience I wanted someone to have as they moved through the site. Once the flow and layout were right, I moved into Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini to build and test it. I used AI throughout the process, from early exploration to implementation.

Copyright protection may not extend to material generated solely by an AI tool. The direction, the decisions, and the design of this work are Ariba's.

03

Typography

The system is set in two open-source typefaces served through Google Fonts: Big Shoulders Display for headlines, numerals, and labels, and Barlow for reading. Both are licensed under the SIL Open Font License.

References

The format of this site — a Brand Book you can browse and drive rather than a static reference — was inspired by Balloon, an independent design system by Matthew Linn. The visual language, palette, and every component are Ariba's own.

This project isn't affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Balloon or Matthew Linn. It's named here as a reference and a thank-you.
